HKS Cast Manifold Question

Okay, I was looking on rx7store.net, and the HKS manifolds come with an internal wastegate, and a standard wastegate. Which one would I need running the BNR Stage IV?

And the stainless manifolds for the FD, is there any way to make them fit on the FC for a larger single turbo setup? If not, who makes a good manifold for externally wastegated turbos such as a T-66? Just various questions I have.

BNR turbos fit on stock manifold.

good external wastegate manifold is the hks cast, external gate.

I think the what they call internal gate manifold on rx7store is teh divided manifold and standard wastegate is the external undivided manifold.

But I can't fit the BNR stage 4 turbo (S5) on to my S4 manifold can I? I thought the bolts lined up differently between the two turbos.

No s4 adn s5 turbos are different, you need a s5 manifold.

Well, i've got the S5 turbo waiting on the Stage 4 upgrade, so I will definitly have to get a new manifold, correct?

And what about those stainless manifolds? are there any of those out for the FC?

If you have a HYBRID, you can use the stock turbo exhaust manifold.

S4 cannot fit on an S5 and vice versa.

An aftermarket turbo exhaust manifold is not guaranteed to fit an FC.
The FD lower intake manifold is lower profile, so most FD aftermarket turbo exhaust manifolds hug the engine too close - this hits the FC lower intake manifold most of the time.
A spacer can "fix" this problem.
We use the Racing Beat 13B exhaust flange to space the aftermarket turbo exhaust manifold originally designed to fit an FD on an FC 13BT.
You'll also need two (SS) engine -> turbo exhaust manifold gaskets, since you gotta seal two pairs of mating surfaces now.

Ted: You happen to know if what was said earlier is right? About the 'internal gate' being the divided, or do they have both?

Last time I checked (which was several years ago), the divided was the "external" gated and the non-divided was the "internal" gated.
Someone else claimed this was not so.
I was check with the HKS dealer to see what the deal is.
I can't believe the price DOUBLES cause you get extra passages for the external wastegate.
It makes more sense to cost more due to the full divided though...
*shrug*

So to get a correct answer. When doing a BNR IV turbo upgrade for a (S5) I can use the correct HKS Exhasut Manifold for the internally wastegated turbo setup with no fitment issues correct? You also could do this the (S5) set-up on a (S4) like doing a normal (S5) to (S4) turbo/manifold conversion? This is what I was planning on doing since the (S5) turbo is a bit bigger and I am not wanting to use twin scroll function of the (S4)

you need a stock s5 manifold.

you can not use the HKS manifold on a s4 or S5 turbo, they are made for T4 type turbos only.
