"Himni Racing" Solid motor mounts
Hey guys,
Just curious.. are these a good or bad idea? I'm upgrading to solid mounts no matter what, I'm sick of the rubber breaking. (I have a nasty rip in one of them.. Found out the hard way the other night when my alternator gave my strut bar a little bump)
50 bucks just seems too good to be true for a pair of motor mounts.

Those are going to rattle your teeth out. Maybe try some of the plastic ones sold through Mazdatrix and on eBay, MMR or something like that. Have you tried the Mazdaspeed ones? What's causing them to tear?
If you want something nice and solid without being hugely harsh then the ones from AWR might be best.

It is only harsh from 1200-2200 rpm. Otherwise, its pretty smooth; only slightly more rattling that the stock mounts at the other rpms.
Their quality wasnt too good though, the holes weren't drilled straight. But it doesnt seem to have an adverse effect on the car.
I would reccomend trying to contact them and purchasing one and installing in on the side with the broken mount. You get the stiffness of of the aluminum, with the dampning of the rubber.

I dont have the Himni Racing ones, but I do have solid mounts..dude with all the mods you have, you will not be bothered by the mounts, if anything you will fall in love with them, it add some slight response and pep to the car because of no engine mount flex
