high temp silicon or gaskets?
high temp silicon or gaskets?
if im gutting out the cats, can i just use some high temp silicon or do i need to go and get the correct gaskets when putting it back together. what do you guys think?
I dont think that the Gasket maker can withstand that kind of abuse. I personally would get the correct gaskets.
Now. here is the trick. I got mine by calling all the muffler places in town till one of them agreed to sell them to me. My price? $2.00 a gasket. Dealer price? $15 a gasket. Might want to try that trick.

If you can get away with it, gut them. At least your car will run better. A gutted cat is better then a clogged cat. (wow, that sounds really wierd. Hope PETA doesnt come to this forum).
