High RPMs + Oil System

Ok, what all should you include for a high RPM oil system.

-TII oil pump (17mm) instead of the stock N/A

-Port (drill) some of the oil passages

-Oil pan baffle (no reason NOT to)

-Thermal pellet bypass (reccomended for ALL engines)

-Oil Cooler Lines (I'm trying to get them made by a hydrolic company)

Now, lastly... the oil pressure regulator valve...
I'm not 100% sure on what to do about this.

-From what I understand, the "RB" 80-85PSI unit is just a Pre-RX-7 rotary regulator, with a 6mm shim.
-The FD regulator is a 100PSI unit... but IIRC you have to do something else to the engine, or the oil cooler.

Are there any other options, other than those 2? I've heard you can use the stock N/A regulator, and up the pressure somehow. Any knowlagable input would be helpful.

100 PSI is to high, You will get a ton of 'Blow by' and it will smoke.

I got a high flow upgraded Oil pump, and a 80 PSI Oil Pressure regulator. You use the shims on the other side of the dealywhopper to allow the oil to flow at a higher rate all the way through. Mine is flawless at 80PSI with the upgraded pump, that should work out just fine for you also. I have read about modifying your existing ORP, and shimming it and such for the same effect, but for the money is Oil Pressure somthing you really want to **** rig? Do it right.

The RB regulator you have on your car NOW is just a "**** rigged" RX2/RX3 OPR. If someone's done this before, and can give me some information on shimming (or "**** rigging") an OEM OPR, assuming I can; I'd happily save some cash by modding my stocker, instead of shelling out $80 + s/h for RB to send me the same thing.

I don't know how you figure that. I needed no shims (Regulator side) and it plugged right into the stock location. You just 'read somewhere' that this is what they do. And somthing else, its called piece of mind and a warranty. All the money invested in your car I cannot fathom why $80 for a part that is the life of the motor is to much to spend? If somthing goes wrong with my OPR I have a reciept and a phone # to bitch at.
