A bit more info would be useful. What are you trying to do?

Regardless, the problem is most likely weak synchros. Redline MT is a good synthetic fluid that can help aging synchros out, though a full transmission rebuild is the only "proper" solution.

If you're having trouble upshifting, wait a bit longer. Slamming the gears at high RPM really requires a lot of the synchros.

If you're having problems downshifting into a high RPM range (say, going from 3k in 5th to 6500 RPM in 3rd), learn to double clutch.

ya.... or rev match and dont double clutch the tranny has synchros for that reason. so you dont have to double clutch

Rev matching does nothing for the transmission. If you can't get it into gear, rev matching is useless.

If the synchros are doing everything asked of them, this thread wouldn't be here. Double clutching a downshift reduces/eliminates (if done perfectly) the load on the synchros. Heck, you can double clutch an upshift if you really want to, and with a lightweight flywheel it might actually be faster than letting things spin down on their own.

ok well i'm using redline mt-90 right now um i guess i don't really have any problems downshifting and i don't usually double clutch. Thanks for the advice tho. I also this my master cyclinder might have a leak. The trasmission was rebuilt not too long ago. So i'm thinking its that. just wanted to see if anyone else was having the same problem

Thanks
