High Output Alternator Pics

Hey guys...

I thought I would post some pics of the PROPOWER alternator that I just recently installed on my car. My father designs and builds these high powered alternators for many different applications. We are discussing a group buy in the near future for this particular setup. The one I have on my car is rated at 150 amps and is internally regulated.

I want one. The alternator in my car is way too weak for the electronics I'm gonna be installing in the car. I'm for the group buy also.

Stock FD alternators are rated at 100 amps(which is seen on the serial plate). Is your stock one already modified?

^ I got mine from Silverrotor while he was selling them. He tested them before selling them and said they tested on average ~130 amps.

These alternators come with a 1 year warranty. The polishing would be extra but as we work out the pricing we will do our best to make it as affordable as possible.

Most manufacturers rate their alternators using an SAE standard, basically they rate them cold. My 150 amp alternator is really 185 amps when cold. The FD alternator is 100amp cold rating so its really 70/80 amps.

We can go as high as 200 amps in this casing. We have another casing that will do 225 amps, I would just need to make sure it fits in the stock location.

130amp is what I have tested the fd altanator cold but at hot rating it tested at 98amps. The altanator that Chris's dad designs are awsome. His dad did the pioneer car and a couple of others.
Thanks Robert

^ Cool thanks! Looks like I will be in for one of these then. If you do a GB maybe you can have a couple different power levels available? I'd probably want a 200 amp one.

Whats the price look like on the 150amp alt?

I am in for a 200 amp but I need it polished and it needs to polished in the front hole area. It looks like yours is polished only on the flater surfaces. We still need a ballpark price though.
