High beams not working????????
High beams not working????????
The other night i was driving my car home and turned on the high beams. They came on and sat on for a good 3 seconds, then went back to emitting the low beams. I tried to turn them on again and it did the same thing. Now they wont even work. I've checked the bulbs and wire connections and everything appears to be fine. Any ideas???
Either dimmer relay, light cluster switch, or wiring between the two...
If you've got the FSM wiring manual, you could jumper the appropriate pins on the dimmer relay to continuously power the high beams (if that works, then the switch or relay coil is bad) while the low beams are energized, -or- you could jumper the relay coil to ground to listen for clicking & high beam actuation -or- you could "play" with the switch while high beams are selected (any flickering or relays chattering would lead to a bad switch). Dimmer relay is the one furthest to the right amongst the group of them behind the front bumper assy, BTW...

I have the exact opposite problem, my low beams burnt out a few days ago, I was driving home yesterday night and I was wondering what the hell happened to my lights so I drove home with the high beams on. I had people flashing me left right and center.
oh yah good luck finding out the problem!
