my power windows have shorted out. i took off the door panel and cleaned al the connections, checke the harnesses inside the door, and still everytime i replace the fuse, as soon as i power on, it blows. the worst of it all is, they are stuck halfway down... the both of them. i live on the west coast of bc so this really sucks not having a covered garage. i will bring it in to be serviced if i absolutely have to, but i already priced out the cost and it isnt pretty. plus there are no part s whatsoever in the window related field out here at any wreckers as this is common so they say...? if anyone out there can help me fix this, or even just how to get the windows up; maybe hardwire the fuse til they go up, or manually raise the window?? thank you for your help!!!!

 

yes, you can put the windows up.....take 2 jumper wires and a 12v battery, connect each jumper wire to each prong on the connector going to the window motor, and then touch one wire to pos (+) and the other to neg (-) on the battery, it will either go up or down, if it goes down, just touch them on the opposite sides of the battery and it will go the other way
