Help with tuning and repairs

Hey, I'm hoping that someone could help me out by giving me advise to what is wrong with my gas pedal.
It is slightly loose, as in it has like a 2" free play before it has any effect. It actually just sits where gas starts applying so it's not really a problem.
But it does have a tendency to bounce up and down going over bumps and when it is depressed all the way it looses speed and the car kinda shakes like it's going to stall.
By looking under the pedal, I noticed the cable is slightly loose like about 2".
can this be simply fixed your self by adjusting one of the cables on the engine or is it something much more serious?

The other thing is, I don't know if any of you who own a S5 FC with stock fog lights, have had problems with finding the right bulb for it. The recomended bulb in most books and store guides and also most of the shops I have asked, was a 12V 55W H3. However this bulb has only a single connector attached to a wire. The original bulb is a 12V 55W H3 C, a bulb that has two connectors and is more like a electrical plug style. Could this be modified to use the one connector bulb or do I have to try to get the original? (which hardly no one seems to carry, and Mazda charges like $20 for it)
