Help Starting Sitting Rx7

My car has been sitting for 3-4 months wintering away in the driveway due to a severe lack of funds. Spring is coming and ill sell one of my kidneys to make my car run again. It would be appreciated if you all could post your suggestions on what I should do before I sart my car ( ie atf trick, water trick, oil change, new plugs, etc etc) I know there was a post like tthis a while back but after a while of searching turns out im to stupid to find it on my own Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

well start off with the regular maintanace first like:

oil change& filter
plugs and wires
air filter
fuel filter
coolant flush (recommended)
new belts (recommended)

when first staring the car after the oil change and first cranckover disconnect the ignition or fuel and let it crank over without starting to get the oil splash around b4 the engine fully starts ( recommended not a must)

As for teh atf trick/water trick? Are those necessarry things to do if I dont want to throw an apex seal in the first ten minutes of driving? EDIT : Looking at rx7store I dont know which heat range to choose from for the hks iridium plugs, I suddenly feel very stupid =(

The ATF trick is to help break up carbon.. and that doesnt work too well. Unless your engine is seized... I wouldn't do it.

I would definately do a coolant flush, check your plugs (may not need to be replaced, just give them a quick scrub with a wire brush if they're still kinda new). If your gas tank is near empty... get a 5 gallon plastic tank you use for lawn mowers... and put some fresh gas in there. The gas that's in the tank might have seperated (leaving water in there).

Um... oil change wouldn't hurt. Check your brake fluid levels before driving, and tranny fluid.

Other than that, you should be ok. Cross your fingers!

Good luck,
Jon

Just try to start it. It'll probably start with no problems.
