my freind has a strange problem, he has a motor and were not sure what the center iron is from....

were tring to put it in an FC it looks like its a 6 port motor, its been rebuild by someone so they might of frankenstiened it and installed a diff center housing.


an fc has the passenger mount underneither on the oil pan , but this one has 4 holes on the SIDE of the center plate, what is this center housing from??? iono where to find a mount for it??

The only time I've had problems getting a motor mount to fit, we were trying to put the mount in the wrong hole... The motor didn't want to "stretch" any farther, lol. (This was on the drivers side though).

 

is it a 13B out of a FB?
they had different mount points..

 

bump still need to figure out what rx-7 or rotory motors had the passenger side motor mount on the side of the center housing

FB's motor mounts attach to the Front of the engine, even the 13B FB's.
FC's have the mounts in the center of the engine
FD's I believe have them somewhere near the back (I'm just getting this from a picture of a fd i saw with no engine, and noticed the mounts were further back)

so yah, the center housing you have is from a 13B out of a FC, if I'm not mistaken, if you remove the oil pan, you will have mounting holes on the bottom aswell.

also, I'm no expert so dont take my advice untill someone elce can chime in
