Hey guys so im looking to get this 10th anniversary BUT it has a lot of work to be done so im still thinking about it. First off im not a big mechanical guy i just like to drive 7's. Well here are a list of things and it would be great if i could get some help/advice thanks!

He just did a rebuilt on the motor. Now when u rebuilt the motor are you supposed to do everything like tune and all that crap cause what he did was rebuilt it and he told me that he has to break in the engine (500 miles) then do all the major tune ups flush out all the oils, fluids, coolant, etc...?

The car wont pass smog i believe almost all the emission stuff were taken out? How much and how diffcult would that be?

Oil leak but he said that was gonna be fix buy the guy that did the motor supposedly he did something to it?

Something wrong with the powersteering the steering wheel is hella stiff!

Car was idling fine under 1k rpm wasnt overheating no smoke coming out when i test drove it but he did say sometimes white smoke comes out when its cold and when he just got the rebuilt done and he told me that was supposed to be normal?

every turbo 7 that i have ever seen smokes white out the pipe when its cold and i have been told by well known rotary company that its about the only thing on these cars that nobody has found a cure for

yes after your break in miles change oil but as far as other fluids they should all be fine well i guess depending on the condition of the car

and smog just find a "smog guy" who does hook ups for that extra price

oh and he might have removed the power steering and still has the power rack in there all you have to do is but a manual rack from a junk yard for 50-75 dollars and install that and it makes it easier to turn

and if you get the car good luck with it i also have a 10th anniversary and they are beautiful
cars so enjoy it and dont abuse it or rice it lol

 

thanks cosmo any idea how much i would have to spend in total rough estimate cause ill have to be thinking about the TOTAL price of the car and fixing it.

 

well hows the body. i would say maybe 3k if the body and int are in good condition

 

body has a minor dings and paint chips but it looks good otherwise and interior is pretty good. he just did a rebuilt on the motor so i gues he maybe asking for more.
