Help putting an engine in!

Hey guys. Im getting ready to put a 13b into my car while the transmission is already in. Is there a way I should put the engine and trans at TDC? I've never put an engine in before. any tips help, thanks!

engine install

It should not make any difference in the transmission. If the engine was set up on tdc when it was put together it should be fine.Assuming you used the correct flywheel and counter balance.

you should find TDC while its out. once you've done that.

when you go to put the engine in, i remove the drivers side engine bracket. it seems weird, but you only need to line up the engine to transmission, then the passenger side mount. after that the drivers side is easy.

its not a huge deal, just less stuff to line up at once

As long as the Pulley wasn't taken off it won't matter.
IF the pulley was taken off the pulley only goes back onto the hub ONE WAY,so you can't screw the timing up internally.
Once you see the timing marks just turn and set The pulley marks to line up to the Pin on the front cover. When you have the engine run you can dial it in with the marks by adjusting the CAS.

Ps: don't squish the pilot bearing on install.

timing is something only done to the engine. on a rotary its a lot less likely to mess up. if your placing the engine on the transmission timing isnt a factor. just line up the motor to the trans so the holes match up to the block and bell housing. make sure you use a clutch alignment tool if you have or replaced the clutch on the back of the engine and place a little axle grease on your transmission input shaft to make assembly easier

To get the trans to slide into the disc and pilot bearing, just make certain the engine
angle is correct as to match up with the angle of the trans.
