wait, did you wire in aftermarket keyless entry?

you need an actuator for the driver side door on a car that came with factory power locks. only the passenger side has a stock actuator, and normally when you turn the key it just switches the passenger side.

My car right now has manual door locks. I plan on swaping to automatic door locks. So in order to do this I'd have to get a stock actuator for the passenger side, and an aftermarket one if I want the drivers side to unlock with keyless entry, right?

It would be easiest to simply go aftermarket on both sides. A basic keyless entry system (that is of good quality) is only ~100 dollars, and will come with two fobs, and all the wiring/actuators/brackets you would need. My car is done this way, and also has the lock rods removed from the cylinders to minimize the ability of car thieves to pop the lock (only way in is the window or the hatch lock, unless you have the keyless).

I do have a secondary method of entrance, but it's hardly wise to discuss on a web forum.
