Help Plz!!!
my 87 rx is leaking coolant from the heater core under the passenger side dash. i need to fix this but i am scared i will mess it up even more. is there anything i can do simple like block off the line from the engine bay bc my ac and heater doesnt work anyways. any info will b greatly appreciated.
and its not a light leak every time i drive the car i gota wait for it to cool to put more antifreeze bc of the leak.

Easy, remove the hoses and run a hose from the engine block connection to the hardline on the passenger side, or all the way to the radiator if you want. You can plug them if you find plugs that can hold up to the temperature and pressure, vacuum caps do NOT work.

Yeah. Pull off both the IN hose and the outlet hose in the engine bay and plug them and use a clamp to hold the plug in place.
Those hose will be difficult to come off. The metal nipples those hose are clamped to are real thin metal, so you don't want to pry, squeeze or mutilate those nipples the two hose are clamped to. How? Got me. Just use very little force and never any pliers on 'em.
What kind of plug? Got me. I used wooden dowels as a temp measure once before in a past life. Use a clamp on the hose/dowels if that's what you use.
That should give you some time to repair the real problem....someday.
P.S You have to do both hose, not just the inlet.
