Exclamation Help Please

I just purchased a 1987 rx7 for 1,000$. I was just wondering is that a good deal? It has minor body damage and a pretty torn up interior. The previous owner told me to let the car warm up before driving. He left it sitting for about 4 years in a feild. Everytime I start it a cloud of smoke comes out, it stops as soon as the engine gets up to temperature. I'll be driving whenever you get on it hard and rev the engine past 5 a wall of smoke comes out. Im wondering if this could be because of the oil, or is it the seals. Can anyone tell me where I can get a tII engine? and about how much would that run? Also I replaced all of the stock speakers, the besel around the sterio cracked and I can't find another, if anyone knows where I could get one i'd be most apreciative. Also what type of pipes would you sugest, i'd like to be able to hear my engine over the air. All of the cats were gutted when I got it, luckily Mississppi does not have immesion tests

Your engine is on the way out. If getting a rebuild isnt a priority, I would just drive it till it dies. One of my motors smoked its way to over 200,000 miles.

All that trim around the radio and in the whole car for that matter can be bought from www.mazdatrix.com , and they also sell one of the best exhaust systems for any RX-7.

Mazdatrix exhaust systems are over priced IMHO.

OOPS not mazdatrix exhaust pipes racing beat. Expensive, yes, made specificaly for the car, more so. Put it this way it is much better than a fart pipe from pep-boys.

If the body damage is truly minor, you did okay. Smoking on start is common, at high RPMs it is indicative of a serious problem. Look to rebuild it before you chuck an apex seal. TII conversion is a big deal, and NOT necessary. With minor mods and weight reduction your N/A can really perform. Ebay is the best place to get interior parts for your car. Get a racing beat exhaust, expensive but well worth it. Get a Boez downpipe for the front too. Major difference there. But get her rebuilt first, don't spend a dime on anything else before that.
