Does your cars rpm drop really low when you take it out of gear?
Does the car die when its in gear or only when you step on the clutch or have it in neutral?
Whats your idle like?

You need to pull out your multimeter and get ups some readings. First you need to check from the positive post to the negative post. It should be between 13-16 volts. Then take your multimeter and ground out the negative lead to the negative battery post. Take your positive lead and check the voltake to the post coming off of the alternator, the one that has an 8mm nut on it. It should also read 13-16 volts. Get back to us with your results.

Anything over 15v is bad.

It needs to put out at least 13.6v. 14.4v is the norm.
