Exclamation HELP!! No power from any of my Injector plugs???!!!?!?!?

Hey guys for some reason the forum isn't letting me reply to the post that you guys have posted. But once again I am restating my problem with the results of what you guys told me to do...........My car would not start so i took off the upper intake manifold and was tesing the injectors plugs themselves- i beleive that one is a ground(ecu controlled), and the other contsant 12v. I was using a test light and tested both, and nothing. Then I checked the secondaires and still nothing. The light on the test light didnt come on. But when i gave the injectors constant power from the battery it was working, the metal peice in the middle of moved, so i figured it working. Does anyone know what the cause of this is or can I not use a test light for this? It's obvious that my car isnt starting becuase of a fuel problem, it starts when ever I spray starter fluid in it but then it dies like 2-3 seconda later if that's. Now 2 days later I bought a craftsman volt meter for 58 dollars.(I'm So Broke Now) Went back and checked the injector clips and they were getting 0.2v, wen i put the meter on all four clips they jump from 0.65v straight down to 0.2v. Still dont know whats going on. But i then checked the seloniod clip that HAILER told me to check then I got the 12v from one of the wires. So anything else guys. Thanks In Advance.

What can cause the injector clips to not get power???? Anyone???

The injector clips are powered directly from the black/yellow wire from the main relay. If the ECU is getting power, so should the injectors. Same wire (basically). Have you checked the solenoid resistor? If the main connection is open then there will be no 12V to the injectors. You HAVE verified power on the black/yellow wire with the key on IGN, right? BTW, you are measuring the injector connector between the connector and GROUND, right?

No 12v on one wire of EACH injector plug?

ENGINE FUSE is kaput.

MAIN RELAY is kaput.

30 amp fuse in the engine bay is kaput.

IF the engine still starts with starter fluid....NONE OF THE ABOVE IS TRUE.

The other suggestion is you did not connect one of the plugs on the EMISSIONS HARNESS when you connected the EMISSIONS HARNESS to the engine and the ECU.

When you use a meter to check the voltage on an injector plug, you put the meters negative lead on a known ground, and with the positive lead you touch first one of the two plug sockets then the other to determine which is the one with 12vdc.

Is this a rebuild? Did you use a JSPEC EMISSIONS HARNESS? Is this a 86 or 87 car? Gotta answer those questions.

Ah. 87 turboii. Does it have a Solenoid Resistor? Located under the afm/airfilter assy. Bolted to the fender with two bolts. Silver in color. Is its plug connected>?

It looks like this http://www.teamfc3s.org/forum/showth...threadid=33353

I have the fuel injection harness ground, i used the multimeter and the volts are 0.2v and nuttin more. the fuses are good, and at the selnoid that HAILER spoke about on one of the pins dere was 12v. Also Hey HAILER "The other suggestion is you did not connect one of the plugs on the EMISSIONS HARNESS when you connected the EMISSIONS HARNESS to the engine and the ECU" wats that??? where is that??? any more feed guys?

Something is screwy here. You have 12v on one wire of this http://www.teamfc3s.org/forum/showth...threadid=33353

Well that one wire feeds all four of the injectors. If you have power there you should have power on one wire of each injector. It's a direct feed from the solenoid resistor to the injector plugs.

Are you sure your not mistaking the Solnenoid Resistor with the Fuel Pump Resistor and Relay that is located directly IN FRONT of the afm/filter????

The Solenoid Resistor is about a foot below the afm/filter and bolted to the fender with two bolts.

The other two plugs I mentioned are in the passengers foot well, up and to the far right. IF you have 12v at the solenoid resistor I wouldn' t bother looking because that 12v comes from one of those plugs....so it must be connected up. From the solneoid resistor the pwr goes to the injector ....thru the injector to the pins on the ECU. The small plug.

If you go the ECU small plug and with the key to ON, you should read 12v at the light green wires on pins 3C,E,F,H.

You could remove the Solenoid Resistor and ohm it out. You ring from the center pin to each of the others one at a time. The value of the resistors is 6ohms.

JPG from the manual is here https://www.rx7club.com/forum/attach...hmentid=135365 Ignore any red writing I put on that jpg. It's for another thing.

If it ohms out good, then go to the harness side of the plug and ohm each of the wires to the injector plugs. One of the four sockets should ohm out to one of the injector plugs. I don't see how it wouldn't since there's nothing b/t there and the injector plugs.

The injector wiring works like this jpg: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/attach...hmentid=106364

Where the part is installed. Not my car, stolen jpg: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...resistor+relay

The Solenoid Resistor and the Fuel PUmp Relay/Resistor in one picture to show the difference b/t the two: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/attach...hmentid=128296

Maybe the ******* took it that resistor out. but hey thanks alot for the help i'll let you guys know what happens. Oh also where could I get one of those things from???
