HELP!! No power from any of my Injector plugs???!!!?!?!?

My car would not start so i took off the upper intake manifold and was tesing the injectors plugs themselves- i beleive that one is a ground(ecu controlled), and the other contsant 12v. I was using a test light and tested both, and nothing. Then I checked the secondaires and still nothing. The light on the test light didnt come on. But when i gave the injectors constant power from the battery it was working, the metal peice in the middle of moved, so i figured it working. Does anyone know what the cause of this is or can I not use a test light for this? It's obvious that my car isnt starting becuase of a fuel problem, it starts when ever I spray starter fluid in it but then it dies so anyone cab help????? What can cause the injector clips to not get power???? Anyone???

If the fuse checks out, the next thing to check is the main relay near the trailing coil. It supplies all power to the EFI stuff via the black/yellow wire.

The ENGINE fuse if bad would mean the MAIN RELAY would not pull in and he would not get spark or fuel. He has spark because he used starter fluid to start the engine. The black/yellow wire of the main relay powers the ignition coils along with the injectors. Got one you should have the other. So the MAIN RELAY and the engine fuse are both good.

Rid yourself of the test light and buy a digital multimeter to check for 12v at the injector plugs. Since you have a 87 you might have the Solenoid resistor package below the afm/filter assy. If for SOME reason you disconnected that plug you'd have igniton power at the coils but no 12v at the fuel injector plugs. Only early 87's had the solenoid resistor package.

If you do have one, then pull the plug off and ONE of the wires on the harness side of the plug should have 12v when the key is to ON.

There is little you dont know about the electronics in these cars huh Hailers? You rock, thanks for correcting my post! I didnt think about it would lose spark too if the fuse was blown.
