Help: No indicators/signals

Arhhgg!
If its not 1 thing its the other.. damm electricals!

My indicators (turn signals) arnt working now
Iv checked all the fuses, their fine.
Is it common for the assemblys to break?
With the indicator assembly, is the flasher/relay built in
or is it external??
How can i check this?
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix??

Much appreciated

The CPU, located behind the driver's side kickpanel, has a flasher unit inside of it. Usually, you can get it to work by doing the cold solder joint fix. It's on Teamfc3s.org, I think. If you wish, you can purchase a new flasher board from Mazdatrix for about $56. Good luck!

sometimes I have to kick my kick panel to get the dash lights & flashers to come on in my GXL. I think I have a short somewhere behind there...

Check the plugs on the CPU; I had the same problem when my turn signals failed because the plug had loosened and came unplugged (I had it out of the car a few times to examine it so it's not something that commonly happens).

Remove the three foward screws on the driver side sill trim panel (you don't have to remove the entire panel, just pull it up enough to allow the kick panel to be removed), and the kick panel, then remove the nut holding the CPU (a small black box) in place.

You can pull it out part way without disconnecting any of the plugs. If any of the plugs appear loose or out of place, plug them back in, then check your turn signals. If they still don't work, disconnect all the plugs and then remove it.

Follow the procedure for the cold-soldier fix, reinstall, and check again. It's highly unlikely the flasher circuit has failed, but if it has, you can replace the board or get a used CPU for a cheap price.
