Talking Help the new guy out

Hey guys, I will e getting my first car soon and have been looking around for somthing that would be a good base for moding and that is rwd. I like the s13/s14 and the 90 rx7. With the 2nd gen rx7's are there any problems that i should be aware of? IS the rotary engine a pain in the *** and expensive to maintain? Of course i have time to work on my car and im willing to learn because i dont know to much about rx7's. Thanks guys

If ur willing to put blood, sweat, tears and cash into a car than the Rx-7 is a great choice. If u love working on cars and learning about them try it out. I've had mine for about 7yrs now and I want more. But their are others on here with different opinions.

For the money, the 2nd Gen RX-7 is one of the best values.
Handling & stopping are great, and power is good.
However with higher performance comes higher maintenance.
It is best suited for the DIY owner/mechanic.
The more maintenance & repair jobs you can yourself, the better off you are.
