help! new engine, car wont start
i just rebuilt my engine in my 88 na. i put it back on and now it wont start....i got spark, rpm, fuel pressure...i tried to unflloded by no luck....i think the reason why it wont start is because when i unflooded the engine i noticed a lot of oil coming out fron the trailing plug side rear rotor....smell like gas but is like mixed with oil...i dont know what to do...if is normal in a rebuilt engine this problem...i spend all day trying to fix this ... im ready to give up...my brother said i did something wrong when i rebuilt the engine...any help will be appreciated..thanks

well this is what i did
after puting everything back together , i tried to start the car and nothing....i check first for spark and is ok...leading and trailing i got spark....then i check for fuel pressure ...is fine...next i did is make sure the crank angle sensor is align... i got racing beat main pulley with three lines no color, so i figured that the first line is the one to be align...tried again and nothing....i was smeeling gas after cranking so i pull all spark plugs out and realized that all are wet...so i cleaned and put it back together and tried again...same problem...pull it again .. they are wet again.. but this time the trailing plug of the rear rotor was like mixed with oil...when i crank the engine to take all the gas out of the spark plugs holes blows a lot of oil from the trailing side so idont is that the problem..this is what really bothers me...so i dont know what to do...sorry about my englis , i am still learning..thanks

well, if you have spark, fuel, and air you should have a start...and the thing with the oil...it's fine...unless there's like massive amounts of oil...
and remember that a "rebuilt" motor will have a hard time starting because the compression is still low, until you have "broken-in" the engine...
when you try to start, does it crank and sound like it's catching or does it just crank? or does it crank, start and then dies?
