but then again the base model did come with polished dial rims......so i guess the dealer did ad a few things to the lower end model to make them more appealing

Since the stopped making NEW S4 13B motors in 90, I would doubt that it is new, but rather a remanufactured unit.

A Mazda remanufactured unit is basically a new motor anyway, just with parts that have been made to be new again or replaced with new parts.

No, not exactly. Please look at the sticky thread found at the top of this section called Standard and Optional Features.

Either way, I wouldn't pay more than $1500 for a 4 lug S4 no matter how good condition it was in and that one with the body work might be a little less (bumper has been replaced/painted, sun roof in needing re-painting, etc).

Only the 87.5 and 88 models cam with polished look wheels. Please read the FAQ for FC sticky thread found at the top of this section before posting.

The picture of the car that antiSUV was posting was a pre 87.5 model, and probably a 86.

ok ok youre right i knew that as my '88 GXL has the polished rims and my neighbors '86 doesnt......and i checked that.
