Help me get the fc on reverse!!!

NC Help me get the fc on reverse!!!

i have a 1990 gxl fc and have tried everything to get it in reverse but cant, the car doesnt get a lot of driving because off this but i bought it to daily and everytime i use i either have to park on a hill or on a forward getting out off parking space, it is getting old quick, please HELP ME GET THIS CAR IN REVERSE!!

so my question is how to get every rx7 in reverse

can you start the car while in reverse? or will it not even go in reverse with the engine killed

The car would start in any gear with no problem but in any position of the shifter is on a forward gear never reverse so i can't even tell which one reverse should be!!
Is reverse all the way to the right and down?

Far right and BACK.

Remove the shifter itself and clean out the area the bottom **** of the shifter rides in. See MAZDATRIX FAQ for how to remove the shifter.
Broken up shifter bushings have been known to cause this problem.
