I am looking for the DIY turbo inlet duct
thread, the one where they describe
how to make it out of PVC.

well, u I did the same thing. It's not really hard where you need a writeup. Just get a 3" pipe that bends slightly ~45degrees. Get a 3"-2.5" reducer and a 3"-3" coupler. Put it all together and you have a good TID. for S4 TII's the MAF has to be oriented in as close as stock position as possible... for S5 TII it doesn't matter.
