Help igniter and coil t2, doesn't start
So, I have an 88 t2 and it was running fine, then all of a sudden it got very hard to start. Now the car won't start at all and it's not flooded and the plugs are not fowled, but the plugs I removed were, I just went out and got new ones today. I'm thinking it's a spark problem cause as I crank on the engine, I see a bit of smoke coming out of the tail pipes, but it doesn't start. I have checked the OMS on the low voltage side of the coils and they are well under 1 OME, and I'm thinking it may be on the high voltage side, but I don't know how to check that side. I would also like to know how to check the igniters as I now have a spare set I might try to swap in. Any help would be appreciated, as I'm at my wits end.
In the AM I'm goin to do a compression check and timing check. Is there anything else I should do?
