Why do you capitalize the first letter of every word?

Because he typed in all caps and the forum won't let you type in caps if the first letter of the first word is capitalized...

But they'll let you type like a DUFUSS in small letters all day long.

Sorry, no help on the housings here.

If it has a coolant passage that is blocked off then it must be a rear TII housing. this is assuming that nobody drilled it open from how it was stock. It should be hard to tell if it was or not. as for the year its hard to day. I have noticed minor differences to housings between different years but I dont have enough info to say. maybe its documented somewhere...... try searching?

That's an S5 TII rotor housing. It could be either a front or a rear. I've only seen that logo configuration on new replacement housings that I've purchased. I've seen it on both S4 and S5 replacement housings, but the threaded boss above the trailing plug means it's not an S4. The damage looks too severe to re-use.

Unhappy front and rear housings

so whats the diferences betwen the front and rear housings on the s5 turbo,i have my other set off s5 t2 housing and they look exactly the same theres no diferences betwen the front and rear one(no that i can see)I now that the one not ported its and s5 t2 but the one ported i dont now,so it could be another s5 t2 rear,if i put a motor together using a front s5 rotor housing and the housing whith the diferent logo it should work right?please guys help me out im going crazy im thinking about quiting the sevens???????????????

they both look like s5 t2 housings to me. the difference in castings and logo on the driver side doesnt make any difference, mazda changed castings regularly for no apparent reason. The difference in front and rear is the emissions/port air passage being drilled in in one direction or another. IT doesnt affect the running of the engine itself but can keep you from passing emissions tests if you mix them up.

it's an S5 or S6, no real difference. S4 did not have a threaded boss above the spark plugs for the knock sensor.

there should be a stamp on the top of the rotor housing "F" for front or "R" for rear.
