Question Help ID this Hose

Hey Guys,
I am working on finishing up installing my new S5 TII engine this weekend and I noticed a hose on the back, behind the BAC, that was cut off and I can't seem to figure out where it goes. I looked in the FSM under cooling as it looks like a water line but I don't see it there. Any help is much appreciated.

Jspec engine brake booster line. you will need to get something similar to the hard line off a non turbo chassis car and flip that line to angle it differently to hook it up.

the original USDM turbo model cars firewall hard line came and dumped off down in back of the middle of the engine right behind the throttle body primary butterflies. the non turbo USDM cars had the line dump off facing down at the firewall right where that line sits. assuming this is a non turbo swap with a Jspec engine into a non turbo car, look about 6 inches just to the rear of where that sits for your hardline.

Ah ok, I see exactly where that is. I actually purchased 10mm silicon hose from Hose Techniques and I think it was for this section. If the silicon hose will work ok, I will just run it from this line to the hard line on the firewall.

it should be fine, just try to keep it away from the heat of the turbo otherwise you may need to wrap it in some sort of heat reflective material, since the line was never intended to be that close to the exhaust on a turbo.
