HELP!! I think my engine blew
Okay, I have an 88 TII and something is severely wrong with the engine (about 138,000 miles). I was getting on it pretty hard the other day, and then a little while later, while I was driving it nice and easy to let it cool down, I suddenly lost a ton of power. The engine sounded like hell, it was very choppy, very hard to rev the rpm’s just to get it going, and the car shook tremendously at idle. What could be the problem here? Could something be blown deep in the engine? Or could it be an electrical problem? I need some expert advice here. Thank you.

What the HELL is going on!?!?!!?
Sorry buddy but the same thing just happened to my 87 n/a on Sunday. and I read a couple other post yesterday and today with the same thing.
Warning to all 7 owners..... Don't drive!!!!!!
I guess where you need to start is with a compression test and go from there. Unfortunatly my car is about a hour away so I have not been able to try anything yet.. Hopefully I can get it this weekend.
Good Luck to you pal.
