alright so i have the racing beat header to pre-silencer, but im in an area that has to pass emissions, so my question is when i get around to having to put a cat in there (by sept 2004) how am i going to do so? cuz the header bolts right up to the pre-silencer but if i wanna take the pre-silencer out and put in a cat, what do i (the exhaust shop actually) do? will i have to have them leave the presilencer in there and put the cat after it (something i dont want to do if possible) or is it ok to like chop off the last part of the header that has the adapter bolt thing on it and just weld a new piece of pipe that continues on after it? any help/experiences/idea/whatever that would be greatly appreciated..thank you

 

youd prolly be better off keeping all stock exhaust and make it to were you can connect it all to the header

 

yeah, i just took it to my trusted mineki shop and had them cut the pre-silencer off and weld the cat on.
