VA Help: (HAILERS) Fuel pump in S4 won't energize

1987 rx7. This ins't my FC this time. Mine is running just fine thanks to HAILERS and a few other senoirs here who chimed in a while ago! This car is a glx. The fuel pump will not energize or pump anything. We have swapped out the fuel pump and sending unitand the b code vaf from my car(works perfectly) and still nothing. The EFI fuse is intact too. What relays and fuses are there playing a role in the funcitonality of the fuel pump? I have an extra ignition switch lying around in my garage. I was about to swap his out for mine extra ign switch to see if there lies the problem. He doesn't have a fuse box cover so will mine do are they identical between s4's?

The fuel pump was working two weeks ago when we put my airflow meter and fuel pump in the car to get his running. (His airflow meter was seized with corrosion) His car ran like a champ but now since getting mine on the road and then putting my airflow meter and fuel pump back in his car the engine isn't getting any fuel! It is definitly a fuel pump issue. the pump is not energizing when the key is on the on position nor is it pumping anything when the engine is cranking.

HAILERS to the rescue! lol jk anyone else who has experience please lend a hand my friend could use it as he is getting frustrated with his FC...it was only a few weeks ago that it was running. he needs to source his own fuel pump/framework and B code btw if anyone has a set they'd be willing to sell.

ENGINE fuse powers the fuel pump.

Fuel pumps in series four cars only work if the engine is running......or if the fuel pump check connector is jumpered with key ON.......or if the key is ON and the vane in the AFM is pushed back at least a 1/8" or more..........or if the key is HELD to START.

Jumper the yellow two pin fuel pump check connector with key ON. PUmp should run. If not, then key ON and push the vane in the afm aft a eighth inch or more. Fuel pump should run.

Or pull the small trigger wire off the starter and HOLD the key to START. Fuel pump should run.

Just putting the key to ON will not make the pump run on a series four car. You have to do the above.

ENGINE FUSE in the interior has to be good. IF you put the key to ON and the Main Relay clicks.......that fuse is good.

Fuse boxes are the same I believe. The FAQ thread shows both series four and five fuse boxes.
