Help! Door!
Help! Door!
Hi, newbie question -
Is it possible for an ordinary joe like me to take off the door and replace it with a new one? I crashed my rex earlier last week and I ordered a door....is it "doable" with ordinary tools?

I have to do this as well since some #$%@#$%!@#$@#$%#@$% made a major dent in my passenger side door last year. I actually got a door not too long ago but it's red
so I'm waiting until I get the car painted to do the swap.
Anyway, I think you can do it with a friend's help. You'll need somebody to hold up the door while you undo the bolts and the same in reverse. Remember to unhook all the wires first or your friend is liable to get a bit huffy holding that door up for you
Good luck!

well, you'll have to take the door panel off to unhook everything....ya know, I have a GXL with all the power goop so there's wires for the power windows and mirrors..if you don't have anything power you might NOT have any wires....but I digress
If you have a wire harnss in the door, when you take the interior trim off, you'll see where everything goes.
