Help Coolant Leaking Between Engine and Transmission

Need some advice about this. Got an engine in this forum a few month back, finally have time to put engine in and fluids in, and i notice coolant is leaking between engine and transmission. It is leaking about 1 drop every 8 seconds. What should i do? Dont have the money for rebuild, should i just run it and have a gallon of coolant in car?

ANYONE?

Thanks

It's either a bad tension bolt seal, or a freeze plug in the back of the rear iron.

I'd drop the trans and have a look. Check the torque on each tension bolt while you're in there.

Check those heater hoses that go into the firewall from the engine and make sure the clamps are on them tight and that the hose itself is not cracked. If you reused the old ones from your last motor they're probably toast by now and need to be replaced. I've had them blow out on the freeway before so it's worth the cash to get new ones.

Check the hose that connects the rear iron to the throttle body too. If not a hose, definitely pull the tranny and have a look.

That one sucks to replace. My dad and I spent about 2 hours on it once. I should have just pulled the UIM off.
