Help, Cleaning 5th & 6th port
Hey guys, so I have a week off of work so I want to attempt to work on my car, I took my car to get tuned like two months ago and i was told my 5&6 ports are not opening therefore i was not getting full power. The tuner said it's not a real hard job to do and would only take hime a couple of hours. So since i have a week i figured y not play with it.
I wanted to see if there was a detailed write up out there and get some advice ahead of time from you guys. and anything special i would need like to clean the ports sand paper idk, lol..
thanks

A simple external cleaning is shown here:

If the sleeves are frozen in place, then you'll need to pull the upper intake and spray some WD-40 or other carbon-dissolving chemical (sensor/rubber safe carb cleaner, kerosene, diesel fuel) in there to free them up.

I don't, but it is shown in the Haynes.
Just take plenty of pictures and label the hoses/wires. It's really not that hard. Will take 2 hours the first time you do it, 5 minutes the next.
