Unhappy help, car wont stay running.

had my car for a while no issues, then one day the car randomly dies, i replaced the alternator because it dropped in voltage until it simply couldnt run. got it back home and same issue, it has a brand new alternator on it and a year old battery i've already tested the battery and alternator. it will run perfect when hooked to another car but as soon as i pull the jumpers it will slowly lose voltage. also every once and a while it will have all the idiot lights flash and voltage will kick back up then die offf again, any thing would help.

i miss my vert

If your alternator went,It most likely took the battery with it too.
Put in another known workin battery and try it that way.
Check the battery and alternator connections too.

when first jumped off it read anywherefrom 12.4 to 14.1
then drops to idle at 11.4 and slowly dies out from there if the idiot lights dont flash and alternator kicks back on. i can pull the cables off the battery when alternator is on and reading good voltage but something seems to be telling it to shut off the alternator.

It should not go lower then 13 volts, You most likely have a defective alternator i was getting around 12 and after i drive about hour it was would die but just sometimes.

I installed 155amp s5 alternator "stock only 80amp " and no more problems, idles better and wont shut of
