Help car starts but shuts off

ok so I just finished my TII swap and went to start it and it started no problem but shut down like 3 seconds later. I figured it was a large vacuum leak but can't find one. I have all the right parts including the pressure sensor and afm. All the emission stuff is deleted including the bac, egr, acv, air pump, and anything else that goes with it. If its a intake leak then its well hidden. Someone help oh and it has a ecu chipped by rtek.

Jumper the yellow plug (fuel pump test connector) and see if it stays running. Also make sure your AFM is plugged in.

the afm is plugged in plus I tried two different afms both tII ones and nothing. the fuel pump is working great the weird thing is no matter what you do whether you gun the gas or let it idle it shuts off in the same amount of time.

You missed the message. Jumper the yellow two socket fuel pump check connector and start the car. See if it runs longer.

OP, any update?

What we're saying is you could have tested the pump by feeding it power, but that doesn't mean the pump is turning on when it should. There are a couple of relays and the AFM ties in too into the equation. The pump doesn't prime when you turn the ignition on. When the key is in start, the pump turns on. Then when you release the key and the AFM flapper has moved while starting, the fuel pump switch inside the AFM causes the pump to continue to run. So basically, if something is wrong along the second circuit, the car will start, but won't stay running. There is more to it, but this is the jist of it.

This is why I said to jumper the yellow plug, leave it jumpered, start the car, and see if it stays running.

this may be an old thread but i just bought my second FC today and the car has a very similar problem to what yous are describing and i cant seem to figure it out either. i didnt get a whole lot of time to really check it out but the car will start everytime no problem, rev up to 3 grand like its supposed and dies out. if i keep my foot on the gas it will stay running and can even be driven if you keep on the gas but as soon as you let off it wants to die out. so what do you guys think? i was thinking it could be what pfsantos is talking about with the fuel pump or a major vacuum leak. any help would be appreciated, just trying to get a head start on the car before i trailer it home next weekend and really get to work on it.
