Unhappy Help with broken sunroof..

Well, my sunroof broke a few weeks ago. When you press the button for it to go back, the let side lifts up and tried to retract, but the right does nothing. I cant even move it when trying to crank it manually. So today I took the entire sunroof out, trying to look for what is broken. I cant really see anything, but it seems to be that the cable that goes to the right side is broken. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or should I just buy a new roof? Also, if I get a new roof, how do I get the "skin" off of my sunroof, as so I wont have to paint the new one? Thanks

you should try your best to locate one at a junk yard, as a new one will cost a fortune. their are 10 mm bolts that hold the "skin" to the frame. you'll have to play around with it to get to the bolts. hope this helps.

That means your right linkage cable snapped. You will need to get a replacement sunroof assemble or buy a new cable. I'd buy a used roof assembly from the junk yard.

To take the roof panel off, you'd have to take out the carpet on the panel. It should slide right off, then there will be i think 6 bolts attached to it. take those off. that should be it.
