Unhappy Help! brake hose not going in

I just put 5 lug hubs and rotors in the front wheels for my 88 SE. Just got the 4 pot calipers and when I was installing the hose to the caliper, it doesn't go all the way. Are the hoses end types suppost to be different between single piston and 4 piston calipers? For those of you who switched to five lug had a similar situation?
In the attachement I noticed that the 4 pot calipers have a brass thingy that doesnt let the hose thread in all the way.

My guess, I'm not sure though, would be to swap the brakes lines, too?

Ok..there is a "trick' to that
Number one is to USE the small steel line and the Proper flexhose for the 5 lug calipers.(chuckle!)
.BUT!,Number TWO is to Double up the crushwasher on the 4 lug flexline going into your New 4 piston caliper. That way it won't Bottom out on the Flare inside the caliper.

^ I would do the double crushwasher but there's about a 1/8 gap so its more then two washers. Don't know if that is safe. In Aaron Cake's writeup doesn't say any issues like this. Any one with pictures of the 5 lug flex hose?

My hardlines that go from my stainless lines to the front calipers didn't fit after I picked up s5 calipers for my 88' vert. I don't remember the exact sizes but I ended up having to make my own...

I used the Double washer on my setup..it is Still there..and holding now for 5 years.
It's not every ones cup of Tera, but it worked for me,That is Why I mentioned it.,
..........
Now,
the five lug flex hose has "no end" on it to Screw into the caliper.
it is a female/female hose.
So you need to Come Off the long steel line from the Master,to the Flex line,Out of the Flex line with a Piece of Steel line that has Male/male on it.So you can screw it into the caliper.
the stock Steel lines for 4 pot calipers are about 8 inches or so.
