TX help with boost problem

i have a 87 turbo 2 that is completely stock and i have been having a problem building boost i thought it was due to the crack in the manifold but i replaced that and that did not fix it. in 4th gear at 2500 rpm i will start to build boost but by the time it reaches 3000 rpm it falls off it does the same in 5th gear to but all other gears it barely gets it out of vacuum

if anyone has any advice i would grately appreciate it

Sounds like a boost leak somewhere.

I'd check the intercooler couplers, BAC connection, etc... for leaks. Pretty much any of the larger diameter hoses should be suspect.

^ hey me too. Not like you should drive it afterward anyway, lol. Lots of flood water out there still.

I've already locked one engine up, not trying to do it again.
