Help with Blitz Intake
Before I ask this question I just want to state I have never worked on a car before and don't know very much about them.
I ordered a Blitz LM core filter off www.racingbeat.com for my 89 T2. I tried installing it bust failed miserably. The directions that it came with seemed like they were for a different car, and when i finally got it so everything fit i turned on my car only for it to die immediately. Then I tried to put back on my airbox only to have it do the same thing. I need help and dont know what to do. I usually just take my car to the local rotary shop and have them mod my car, but I would like to do everything I can before I resort to a mechanic.
Thanks in advance for the input.

It sounds like you have unplugged your air flow meter, and forgot to plug it back in. The air flow meter is the black tube looking thing you were attempting to attach the HKS filter to. See if its unplugged. If its not unplugged, we'll go from there. Thats my first guess. If it is unplugged, plug it back in, and put that filter back on.

I triple checked my car. I put the gold rod in the small curved hose with the small silver clamp, The plug thing I plugged back into the filter, and the filter is in the same hose as the airbox was. Thanks for the suggestion.
