Help - 88 Convetible steering problem
Help - 88 Convetible steering problem
About 2 weeks ago I started to notice a little pull (to the right) in the steering, over the next 1 0 or so days it got worse.
One key trait I have found is that at low speeds such as leaving my driveway/navigating a parking lot the wheel seems to make two little pull (turning) motions for every fuull wheel rotation.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
I just want to tear into it looking for the right problem.
(damn, I hate suspension problems!)

Ya, check the tires, axel alignment (not likely tho), and make sure your wheels are balanced...only things i can think of...the pulling is completely normal tho...my mom's car (99 Grand Am) pulls to the right but she wont get nothing done to it so i figure its gonna die on me like the last one did...lol

My '88 vert (and any other car I've owned) will track completely straight at any speed, and if it did not I'd fix it.
Tires, brakes and suspension are safety items that should not be ignored.
ive checked the normal things..
as far as hitting things not that I can recall. I recently drove to Ennis from Houston and back (700 miles R/T) and the alignment was pretty good then. (tracking normally)
Yeah I'm gonna go to the alignment shop in a day or two, just wanted to see if anyone had the same problems
