I am having problems with my engine removal....

1. I dont understand how to remove my car hood. I looked at the Haynes manual and all it said was
"remove the two bolts"! I went out and look at the "bolts" and they are double headed!

2. The Oil line bolt tat's bolted from the oil cooler. What size is the bolt? 20mm? 22mm??

there is two seperate bolts on each side of the hood. meaning there is 4 bolts totall. It's not rocket science to remove the hood, just be carful, it's heavy/awkwards. you wouldnt want to drop that thing

as far as the oil cooler bolts. i dunno, their big. get some correct tools, and i'm sure you'll find out what size they are.

 

The hood is 2 bolts on both sides, and the oil cooler bolts are 23mm.

 

your planning to do an engine swap and you need help taking off the hood? I'm not trying to disrespect you but...are you sure you're gonna be able to do this job?

I already have eveything apart and out of the way.....FYI - Mr.rx7ist. The only thing tat is in the way was the hood and the oil line.

 

yea theres two bolts on the hood and the oil cooler lines r 23mm!! took me three trip back and forth to the auto parts place to figure this out!!
