Help!!

my buddys car is a 87 n/a and when he starts it it sounds like he just ran over a mouse i mean a loud ear piercing screech is comin from the car i mean loud and it never stops help him cause the sound is killing me the sound i think is comin from the intake where it says 13b injection

no it sounds nothing like a belt it is a loud like screaming noise

It sounds like one of the hoses are disconnected near the BAC. Does his car idle good?

maybe try and oil the pulleys.... belts may be loose. im not sure

hmm weird, could be water-pump, does it "scream" while his car is being droven? Does it get louder as rpm is increased? But if it's comming from the throttle body make sure all the hoses are connected and that you don't have a air leak between the TB and the intake pipe.

Remove all belts and start it for a few seconds. that will indicate if belts, pullies, water pump, etc.
