HELP!... -=( engine squeal..

okay.. i purchased a used jaytech manifold since the car (90 gtu) i purchased a while back was carb'ed, i didnt like the casting of the 4 outter hole's casting so i smoothed it out a bit and everything, and then proceded to put the manifold on the car, it didnt clear a little bolt on the tranny side of the engine, so i grinded the manifold down to clear the bolt, blablabla,
long story short after the installation and everything now i get a low pitch squeal, I am wondering if anyone has this problem, its comming from the manifold/carb area, and i wet everything to see if there is a funky vacuum leak, the only thing i can think of is a stupid peice of metal didnt get cleaned out and got stuck to a seal or something, but when i put a stethoscope on the rotor housings, i dont hear anything..

also the car has great low end, but wont rev pass 6500 rpm, it just backfires like no tomorrow and feels like a fuel cut situation..... if anyone possible have a clue as what is wrong please help me out, and if you need to know something more (detail wise) just ask i will provide as much of an answer as i know

THanks.... please help me im scared that my engine will blow...

Well i'm pretty sure you would have checked, but are any of the belts getting worn out? Maybe the alternator belt getting loose or something.

If you could post a video or audio of the sound that might help people diagnose it a little easier.

ok the sound went away, but not the car doesnt rev over 5500 rpm, when it tries to, it back fires like a ****, and feels like a major fuel cut or not enough air is going to the engine... any clue guys?... i hope it doesnt mean i need another fuel pump lol...
