That depends on what you're trying to do.
If you want to make an N/A engine with turbo rotors, you're only going to lose power due to the lower compression ratio.
If you want to make a turbo engine and you want to use N/A housings, you can grind out the exhaust diffuser / swap to a T2 exhaust sleeve and it will work the same as a turbo housing. This is handy if you already have N/A housings, or if N/A housings are cheaper than T2 housings, but it doesn't provide a power gain. Also, I am not sure offhand if the emissions setups are compatible, so you may or may not be able to run emissions with that sort of setup.

Thanks for the answer. I'm trying to sort out what I want to do with this n/a engine. High compression with a peripheral and street half bridged is what I'm leaning to.

I "lost" my emissions....

Where in nc are you?
your welcome to ride in my 88, its a 1991 n/a with a wideband tuned safc, full rb road race exhaust, working 5/6 ports, and some lightness.
Put down 170whp at 5500 rpm before I ran lean. Now its running a fd pump and has not been dynod since.
its quick, reliable, and fun. Id go ported na, youll be happier if you plan to daily it. But definitely run some kind of management.
