when i start my 86 na it starts fine alittle smoke when it starts but it has no cats and large non restricting muffler as well as i have ordered a new tps the one i have on the cars is shot , but it runs just fine .
the question is should i have anything to worrie about with the smoke or would that be caused by the broken tps

also when i first start her up there is a squel like a bearing is worn it sounds like it's coming from one of the pulleys , to me it sounds like the altenator

I cant come up with any reason the TPS would cause smoke. Smoke on startup is generally indicative of an older, worn motor.

 

as far as the squealing goes, check your belts you tightness, if they're tight loosen them and check the bearings in all your accessories

how much is "a little" when it starts up? what colour is it? what does it smell like? gas? coolant? oil?
