HEEELLLPPP! Engine prob?

Whenever I gun it htting up to about 5500 - 7000 rpm my engine or SOMETHING will grind or scrape... which causes my car to loose some power. Unsure of what it could be so I changed the oil and some other fluids... worrying that it was something in the engine not getting enough fluid... but it still continues... help... please help.

I'd check all moving pully wheels and belt driven components.

While I have never heard a rotor smash or grinding into a housing, I'm sure its really really unpleasent sounding.

What's your oil pressure do?

no vibration, no smoke... sounds like... almost like pressure releasing... it's a smooth rubbing sound to describe it better... but it rubs so hard that the car looses a little power

My best guess - It's a combination of clogged cats and a small exhaust leak?
