Heater stopped working

I have a 88 t2 and I started to use my heat since it's getting cold and I used it for a week with no problems , heat was hot and it recently stopped working now it just blows air, my air conditioner still works, anyone know why my heat no longer works?

plugged heater core
jammed blend door stepper motor
faulty HVAC control head

i would start by seeing if the heater hose is warming up, if it stays cold or only slightly warm then the core may be plugged.

^this. if I the hose isn't hot, get some clear tubing that will fit over the heater core outlets, attach a garden hose to the "out" port, and have the other tube over the "in" port drain into a bucket. Turn your hose on low pressure and watch all the crap fly out of the heater core.

This method cleared out 2 obnoxiously clogged vw heater cores all one rx7 core.
