Heater Problems......continued

So anyways, yesterday my windows fog up (but wasn't coolant on the windows), and I lost my heat...... I noticed a tiny pin drop of coolant dripping on the outside of the car. I was too tired, and it was getting cold and dark, so I figured I would just wait until today to check things over. I ran the car until it warmed up and checked for leaks, none!!! WTF? I looked inside the car, no leaks from the heater core, WTF. I removed the passenger side carpet to look for coolant and nothing. I recently resoldered the logicon, and it was working fine for a couple of days until this all happened, the only thing I have narrowed it down to is the air mix motor which I sure it's past-on. So my question is....... is there anyway the air mix motor could cause a temp leak, while being stuck in a certain position?

Anyone have a clue to what might have happened?

Well what you are experiencing is not necessarily a "temp leak" per se, but perhaps the air mix motor is simply stuck in the "cold" mix position?

Another suggestion is that perhaps the heater core got a bit of crud in it somewhere that is blocking the flow of coolant, thus preventing its getting warm. But that is a farfetched theory at this point. I'd bet your air mix unit (if fried) is stuck wide open, or your logicon or something is not telling it to go to the "heat" position.

Just my initial speed-read $0.02. If I missed something and end up being a dumbass feel free to enjoy the laugh.

That sound like what has happened, but still doesn't explain the diappearing leak. Thanks for the info though.

I think I can explain the leak. About a year ago I also had a mystery leak. It turned out to be a tiny hole in the hose that goes from the motor to the heater core. Too small to see, and it wouldn't leak at idle (not enough pressure with the water pump going so slowly.)
Then one night I revved the motor with my head under the hood and coolant blasted out of the hose. So try having someone rev the motor to 4k or 5k and hold it there while you check each of the coolant hoses under the hood...

I've already done that, accually I went into the archives and found your post before I started this thread. Anyways, I've done some high speed passes, as well as revving the engine hard, and still nothing.........
