Angry heater problems

Ok ill start up my car let it warm up and the blower works fine its just starting to get cold out and i think its getting clogged or stuck. Because about 1 month ago it would take a little bit after warming up for the heater to start working.I know i KNow. I searched and the only thing i came up with is that my heater core is clogged and i needed to quote"giggle it loose" with a coat hanger. Any easier ways or ways to do it RIGHT.? New heater or new something.??!! Appriciate the help.

Could be your logicon, sometimes the switch goes out to differentiate the temp settings. the little slider bar with hot and cold.
